The Bureau of Animal Health and Welfare is now enrolling swine industry partners in U.S. SHIP

What is U.S. SHIP?

US SHIP is a USDA Veterinary Services sponsored pilot project being pursued with support of state and industry partners. US SHIP has received endorsements of support by the United States Animal Health Association, American Association of Veterinary Laboratory Diagnosticians, National Pork Board, National Pork Producers Council, and the North American Meat Institute.

What is the OSA?

The OSA is the Official State Agency that is responsible for providing enrollment materials for the Plan and for maintaining enrollee records at the state level.  The OSA also confers certification on enrollees in the Plan.  In Illinois, the Bureau of Animal Health and Welfare is the OSA.

How do I enroll?

An enrollment packet can be requested via email at agr.bahw@Illinois.gov
Once completed, return the materials to the Bureau via the same email address.  The U.S. SHIP Biosecurity Enrollment Survey must be completed online and will be received by U.S. SHIP staff.
