Agriculture in the Classroom (AITC)

A program developed to help students acquire adequate knowledge to function effectively as agriculturally literate citizens, who are supportive of wise agricultural policies and programs. Its purpose is to encourage educators to incorporate more information about the food and fiber system into daily lessons and to help students understand the role of agriculture in the total economy.

Facilitating Coordination in Agricultural Education (FCAE)

FCAE is a state project administered through the Illinois State Board of Education in cooperation with and advisement by the Illinois Committee for Agricultural Education (ICAE). FCAE addresses the aims of Public Act 84-1452 involving the implementation of identified goals for improving education in and about Agriculture in Illinois.

FFA - Illinois​

The Illinois FFA is a career and technical student organization for students enrolled in Agricultural Education programs at the junior and senior high levels.

​Illinois Association of Community College Agriculture Instructors

The IACCAI is the statewide professional organization for community college instructors of the agriculture industry. Its primary objective is to promote the interest of education in agriculture in the State of Illinois.

Illinois Association of Vocational Agricultural Teachers

The Illinois Association of Vocational Agriculture Teachers is a professional organization for agricultural education teachers at all levels.​

Illinois Committee for Agricultural Education​

The Illinois Committee for Agricultural Education (ICAE) is a 13-member committee established by legislation and appointed by the Governor to advise both the governor and state education agency concerning Agricultural Education K-adult. Six members must be appointed from ILCAE.

Illinois Farm Bureau & Affiliated Companies Youth Education Program

The mission of the Youth Education Program is to provide unique educational programs to Illinois Youth who have a connection to or are pursuing a connection to agriculture, in the effort to "Develop Tomorrow's Agricultural Leaders." The Program provides opportunities for young people to Travel, Have Fun, and Make Friends while preparing for their future.

Illinois Leadership Council for Agricultural Education​

The Illinois Leadership Council for Agricultural Education is a voluntary grassroots agricultural industry group focused on the expansion and improvement of Agricultural Education programs at all levels. Primarily an advocacy group focused on legislation, funding, and promotion. Responsible for legislation that established the Illinois committee for Agricultural Education (ICAE) and the Agricultural Education line item in the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) budget.

Illinois Postsecondary Agricultural Student​

The Illinois Postsecondary Agricultural Student (PAS) Organization is a vocational student organization for students enrolled in Agricultural Education programs at the postsecondary level.

Illinois State Board of Education​

The Illinois State Board of Education is the state agency responsible for P/K-12 education. An Ag Ed Consultant team coordinates and administers statewide programs in and about agricultural education. Its primary mission is state program leadership, planning, approval, funding, and evaluation. Administration of the FCAE project and Incentive Funding Grants through the Ag Ed line item of ISBE is a key initiative. FFA and PAS organizations are integral components of the program team mission.

Illinois Workforce Development​

The Illinois Workforce Development Website supports workforce development and policy-making activities in Illinois. It serves as a virtual forum for public policies, a practical registration center for workforce development events, and a timely communications and notification tool.

ThinkBIG program​

We partner with Illinois Central College (ICC) in East Peoria, IL. ICC is home to the first Caterpillar Dealer Service Technology Program and through this program students will earn an Associates in Applied Science Degree. With the help of ICC, Altorfer selects a handful of students to sponsor through their two-year program, offering four paid eight-week internships at our shops and long-term employment. We also offer sponsored students paid uniforms, a safety account and financing through payroll deductible with no interest on their basic tools.

Western Illinois University Agricultural Education Program​​

Illinois Association of Family and Consumer Science The Illinois Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (IAFCS) is a non-profit professional organization founded in 1921 as a state affiliate of the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) which had been founded in 1909. They provide consumer goods and service to families and individuals of all ages as educators, extension professionals, entrepreneurs, and business community.
