IL Supplier Establishes New Partnership by Utilizing RepFinder Service

SANFILIPPO & SON ESTABLISHES NEW PARTNERSHIP BY UTILIZING REPFINDER SERVICE

In March 2015, SanFilippo & Son, located in Elgin, Illinois, utilized the Food Export RepFinder service where they established a relationship with a new distributor for their work in the Mexican market. The RepFinder service connects suppliers with Food Export’s In-Market Representatives to facilitate meetings with potential distributor partners and targeted importers. With their new relationship finalized, SanFilippo projects to see sales of $200,000 for the first 12 months.

According to Ashli Dove, SanFilippo’s Business Manager for Latin America, “We knew we needed to find a new distributor and this program allowed us to determine a few potential partners. After some due diligence, we found our next distributor, who stuck with us despite the long transition time winding down the business from the previous distributor. We have just begun with Ernesto Ibarra y Cia and are very happy to support them to grow the Fisher business once again in Mexico!” As a result of this new business agreement, SanFilippo projects a 10% increase for the first year.

SanFilippo & Son is an industry leader manufacturing, roasting, coating, and packaging various nut and snack products.

Food Export uses funding from the Market Access Program (MAP) to help America’s small businesses increase their exports of food and agricultural products. As these exports increase, these small businesses are creating jobs and improving the strength and stability of our agricultural economy. Food Export-Midwest and Food Export-Northeast are non-profit organizations that work in collaboration with their member state departments of agriculture and the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. They offer a wide range of programs and services that help boost America’s agricultural exports.
